A seminar titled "Metal Facade Systems" simultaneously in English and Turkish on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, within the scope of "ARC4020 Building Science III" and "MIM4020 Building Science III" courses conducted by Assist Prof Gamze Alptekin and Assoc Prof Erkan Avlar at IKU Department of Architecture. In the seminar given by Architect Gökhan Algan from ESKA Metal, students were informed about facade systems and material samples were introduced.

Within the scope of the "MIM0126 Quality in the Building Production Process" course conducted by Dr. Gamze Alptekin in the Architecture Turkish Program of the Department of Architecture, on Friday, April 15, 2022, "What Should Tomorrow's Architects Do Today?" organized a seminar titled Human Resources Specialist Civil Engineer Cem Kafadar attended the event held over the CATS platform as a speaker. In the seminar, evaluations were made about the situation of the construction industry in the world and the opportunities for graduates.

Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture continues to bring famous architects together with its students and architectural environment in the 2021-2022 Spring Semester. Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu was the guest of the event held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Monday, April 18 at 15.00. Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu gave information about the projects completed by him and his team on Istiklal Avenue in his speech titled “The Backbone of Pera: Istiklal Avenue”.

An e-seminar titled "Participatory Architecture as an Alternative Design Tool" was held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, within the scope of the "MIMY0420 Participatory Architecture and Planning" course in the Urban Design Master's Program of the Department of Architecture and conducted by Asst Prof. Z. Ayşe Gökşin.

The products of the workshop titled "Muğla Faces in/Over Disasters: Forest Fires 2021" organized with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University on March 5-6, 2022 as part of the Architectural Episodes Symposium organized by the Department of Architecture, were presented at the ceremony held on Thursday, April 14, at 14.00, opened to visitors. At the opening ceremony where our Rector gave her speech, the message of our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver was also read.

IKU Department of Architecture brought together Gökçe Dede from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Reconstruction and Urban Planning and Anıl Serican Delibay from Beylikdüzü Municipality Planning and Project Directorate with students on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.  Our guests, who gave an online seminar titled "Plan to Building Application Experiences" within the scope of "MIM8026 Reconstruction and Professional Practice" and "ARC8026 Urban Development and Professional Practice" courses conducted by Prof. Dr.

Within the scope of the symposium themed “Architectural Episodes 02: New Dialogues in Architectural Education and Practice” organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture on 24-25 March 2022, a workshop titled “Muğla Transcripts in/on Disasters: Forest Fires 2021”was organized in cooperation with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture students. The workshop, in which Prof. Dr. Emel Birer and Assist. Prof. Esin Hasgül from İstanbul Kültür University, Assoc. Prof.

Department of Architecture invited Master Architect & Engineer Ali Ekinci, a former member of the Central Board of the Chamber of Architects, on Thursday, March 31, to give a speech titled "Workplaces of Architects". At the conference held over Microsoft Teams, Ekinci conveyed the diversity of the work areas of the graduates of the Department of Architecture and the social importance of architecture to the students.

Esin Köymen, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of TMMOB Chamber of Architects, Istanbul Büyükkent Branch, presented a seminar in the "MIM/ARC8026 Urban Development and Professional Practice" courses- conducted by Prof. Dr. Evrim Özkan- on March 29. Our students-who are architect candidates- watched a satisfactory presentation on the principles, organization, works and activities of the  Istanbul Büyükkent Branch, starting with the establishment and organizational structure of the Chamber of Architects.

The international symposium organized by the IKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture has started on March 24, 2022, Thursday, online. The symposium, in which the opening speeches are made by Assist. Prof. Elif Altınok Çalışkan, Rector Consultant, in the name of IKU Rector, Prof, Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Esin Kasapoğlu, Head of the Department of Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Zühre Yıldırım, Head of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Architecture, focuses on the new dialogues in the architecture education and practice.
