Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture; In 2020-2021 Spring Semester, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, Assist. Prof. Nevzat Ömer Saatcıoğlu and Lecturer Dr. Suzan Sanlı Esin, within the scope of the “Diploma Project” course, hosted Master Architect Caner Bilgin, Master Landscape Architect Defne Akşin Akyol and Master Landscape Architect Begüm Sabitoğlu from IMM.

“THE CHRONOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN TURKEY AND CURRENT DISCUSSIONS”

An e-seminar titled “The Chronological Development of Cultural and Creative Industries in Turkey and Current Discussions” was held on Tuesday, April 13 within the scope of the “ARC0401 Urban Studies” course conducted by Prof. Dr. Evrim Töre, a faculty member of the Architecture Department. In the event where Assoc. Prof. Gökçe Dervişoğlu Okandan from Istanbul Bilgi University was a speaker; New business generation models, entrepreneurship, transformations in educational infrastructure and culture as the fourth pillar of sustainable development were conveyed to the students.

"GENERAL PRINCIPLES REGARDING THE USE OF LANDSCAPE PLANTS IN DESIGN"

An e-seminar titled “General Principles Regarding the Use of Landscape Plants in Design” was held on Wednesday, April 14 within the scope of the “MIM4040 Principles of Urban Design” course conducted by Prof. Dr. Evrim Özkan Töre, a faculty member of the Department of Architecture. In the seminar, where Erdi Ekren, the author of the book "Landscape Plants and Features", was a speaker, urban open and green spaces, the benefits of plants, the vegetative design process and the importance of natural plants were mentioned.
