The concept of long or short term "nomadism" in urban and rural areas was discussed at the "Göçebe: Assembly Workshop" held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 under the leadership of Assist. Prof.  Asiye Akgün Gültekin, Assist. Prof. Esin Hasgül, Res. Assist. Merve Aksoy Oral and Res. Assist. Dilara Gür in the Department of Architecture. Following the general lecture in the workshop, related readings were given and the students were asked to share their general ideas on the subject before starting their studies.

Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture is organizing a Photography Contest for High School Students with the theme "Home Life in Pandemic" between 8-30 April 2021. The deadline for the competition, which is open to all high school students affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, is Friday, April 30, 2021.

Assoc. Prof. Neşe Çakıcı Alp, one of the faculty members of Kocaeli University, attended the 1st interim jury, which was held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 within the scope of the “MIM0006 Architectural Design VI” course conducted by one of our faculty member of Architecture Department Assoc. Prof. Yasemin Erkan Yazıcı and one of our faculty members, Research Assistant Dilara Gür.

An e-seminar titled "The Modern Period in Everyday Life Practice: Dystopic Features of Solution-Oriented Utopias" was held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, within the scope of the "Space-Architectural Concepts" Architecture doctorate course conducted under the coordination of one of our faculty members in the Department of Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Yasemin Erkan Yazıcı.

One of the academic staff of IKU Architecture Department, Res. Assist. A. Hilal Iavarone presented her academic work titled "Updates in Design Education: Examination of Web-Based Design Studio Models" at the FSMVU Educational Research Congress (FSMVU-EAK2021) held on March 27-28 with the theme of "Education and Human in the Digitalized World".

The Department of Architecture organized an e-seminar titled "What To Do From Today For A Successful Business Life" on Monday, March 22, 2021 within the scope of the "Quality in the Building Production Process" course, conducted by Assist. Prof. Gamze Alptekin. Civil Engineer and Instructor Cem Kafadar attended the event as a speaker. The seminar, which was also attended by people who are not members of IKU, focused on 20 basic factors that bring success in professional life. The event ended after the question and answer session.

Within the scope of the activities of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture, a panel titled “Rethinking Urbanization After Crisis: Discussions on Digitalization, Return to Rural and Waste Management” was held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 20:00. The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Evrim Özkan Töre, in which Assist. Prof. Melis Oğuz, Dr. Ayşegül Didem Özdemir and Dr. Ceyda Bakbaşa Bosson participated as speakers.

In the MIM0216 Quality in Building Production Process course conducted by Asst. Prof. Gamze Alptekin in the Department of Architecture the Faculty of Architecture, Nurcan Salman, who works as a Vocational Consultant at Bahçelievler İŞKUR Service Center, provided training on "CV Preparation and Job Search Skills". At the seminar held on March 15, 2021, students were informed about the "Social Work Program, Academic Work Program, On-the-Job Training Program," CV Preparation and Letter of Intent Writing Techniques "developed by İŞKUR.

Famous Architect, Writer, Designer and Academician Juhani Pallasmaa was the Guest of IKU Department of Architecture.
