The invention of Assist. Prof. N. Ömer Saatcıoğlu, Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture academician, titled “A Straw Wall System Resistant to External Factors”, which he developed after his invention named “A Masonry Wall System” within the framework of “Straw-Bale Building Design” development studies in accordance with Turkish conditions, was also registered internationally on behalf of our university.

The purpose of the invention is to develop a straw wall system suitable for Turkish conditions. The next stage of the invention developed to create a conveyor system from a hay bale is the integration of the “Breathing Wall” system, which has been registered nationally and of which the international patent process is ongoing. Thus, it is aimed to increase the sustainability potential of the straw wall by designing a holistic and energy-efficient building wall that comprises conveyor and energy systems.

Assist. Prof. N. Ömer Saatcıoğlu has six national and two international patents, of which he is the inventor, and which are registered on behalf of Istanbul Kültür University.
