Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture first-year students won awards in four different categories of the "Murat Artu and the Passion for Architecture Student Competition". As a part of competition, students were asked to design a 'living thing', and were expected to produce designs that describe the characteristics of this living being and approach the matter from the perspective of architecture students. The subject matter of the competition was taken as an interim study in IKU Department of Architecture "Architectural Design 2" studio, and students were encouraged to approach the subject in a conceptual framework.

In the competition, in which first-year students of Faculty of Architecture can partake, awards were given in 8 different categories. In the competition to which 203 projects were submitted, 19 projects received awards by the evaluation of the jury. First year students of IKU Department of Architecture won 4 of these 19 awards.
