“BODY-SPACE-PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP”

Istanbul Kultur University (IKU) Architecture Department organized the “Body-Space-Performance Workshop” between 8-12 April. Ataköy Campus hosted the event organized by one of our instructors, Res. Asst. Çisem Soylu and Res. Asst. Ufuk Küçükyazıcı. Tuğçe Tuna, Burcu Uçatenik, Derya Yorgancıoğlu, Erhan Karakoç, Yeşim Okur, Bersu Çelik, Swing İstanbul Dance School, Mehmet Kerem Özel, Berkay Ateş, Demet Kurtoğlu Taşdelen, Ozan, participated in the workshop where the relationship between body and space was re-examined in the axis of dance, theater and performance art. Önder Özener, Selda Salman and İrem Çoban contributed with various presentations, screenings, performances and workshops. In the activities that attract the attention of many department students, especially the Department of Architecture and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design; “space of the body”, “body as space”, “space-specific performance”, “performative philosophy” and “history of the body” were discussed.
