Istanbul Kultur University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture continues to bring together the world's famous architects with its students and the architectural environment online in the 2020-2021 Fall Semester. The second guest of the conference series held on the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, was Hashim Sarkis, Dean of the MIT Faculty of Architecture and Planning and Curator of the 2020 International Venice Architecture Biennale. An architect, educator, and scientist, Sarkis is also the founder of Hashim Sarkis Studio (HSS), which has offices in Boston and Beirut and has signed many architectural designs.

In the event titled “Closed Figures, Open Configurations”, which attracted many participants, Sarkis gave an inspiring presentation to students and architects on how to incorporate blue and sky into design. The conference ended with questions from the participants. The events, which will be attended by famous architects, will continue with the speech of British Architect & Academician Ian Ritchie on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
