Bedirhan Koç, a graduate of IKU Architecture Department, won the Equivalent 2nd prize in the Modeling Competition with Glazed Tile with the model named "Knitting the Gap", which he designed with his teammate Gülsen Şenol. We congratulate our graduate and wish him continued success.
'Knitting the Gap' experience, inspired by the knitted structure of the fabric, aims to define a new gap experience in the lexicon of the city, nature and human. The journey that people tear and drag the full into with their own senses unwraps the body with the resonance of movement, presents an unexpected encounter with emptiness and "any" and knits it with the closure of the body; which is fast and full 'place' again. The fabric pieces lined up one after the other blur the boundaries between the outside and inside with the linear and hollow carriers on which they are articulated, and examine the penetration of 'any' lined senses into space, human and body.
