The project, which started at the end of the 2021-22 Spring Semester with the initiative of eight third year students of the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture and proceeded with the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and the Head of the Architecture Department, was carried out between 25 July-6 August.
Under the internship protocol signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and Bakırköy Representation of the Chamber of Architects the works produced during the program after the workshops held between 18 July and 15 August 2022, were exhibited at TMMOB Chamber of Architects Bakırköy Representative Office until September 30, 2022. The invention of Assist. Prof. N. Ömer Saatcıoğlu, Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture academician, titled “A Straw Wall System Resistant to External Factors”, which he developed after his invention named “A Masonry Wall System” within the framework of “Straw-Bale Building Design” development studies in accordance with Turkish conditions, was also registered internationally on behalf of our university.
