The research titled “Postmodern Indicators of Advertising Language Used in Themed Housing Projects in Urban Life” by Assist. Prof. Esin Hasgül, an academician of IKU Architecture Department, and Çiğdem Karabağ, a graduate student, was designed within the scope of the “MIMY0115-Culture, Housing and Design Approaches” course given in the Architectural Design Graduate Program, It was published in the 31st issue of Idealkent magazine in 2020.

Head of the Istanbul Kültür University the Department of Architecture Prof. Dr. Esin Kasapoğlu, made a presentation titled “Sağlıklı Binalar” in the scope of the Internal Medicine Seminars organized by Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine M. S. Within the scope of the presentation, the concept of “healthy” buildings and the basics of “healthy” buildings were discussed.

The article of the academics from the Department of Architecture Res. Assist. A. Hilal Iavarone and Lecturer Dr. Esin Hasgül titled “The City Experience With Location-Based Media: An Examination Through Cognitive Maps” has been published in the June issue of ICONARP International Journal of Architecture and Planning. The students, who has min. 3.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) and want to work in one of the firms having internship protocols with our university, will be evaluated by the Internship Commission. The student, who will apply to the selection, should send this application form and trancript of records to the Internship Commission (Sevgi Pınar Turan- s.turan@iku.edu.tr mail adress)  until 10.06.2021 17:00. The students are informed about the outcome of the selection via e-mails.

As part of the Istanbul Kultur University Department of Architecture activities, the "Most Successful Project Awards" were given to the winners on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 17:00.

In each Fall and Spring semester, the best projects of the "Architectural Design" courses in the previous semester are determined by voting among the faculty members of the department. As a result of voting, the project with the highest votes is awarded.

On 21st May 2021, Prof. Mike Gibson gave an e-seminar titled ‘Neighbourhood Planning in England: Hove Station Neighbourhood Plan’ in ARC0415 Housing-led Renewal course coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Z. Ayşe Gökşin in the Department of Architecture. In the e-seminar, Prof. Gibson introduced Negighbourhood Planning Programme which started in England in 2012 and he shared the recently completed Hove Station Neighbourhood Plan process which he coordinated.

The Department of Architecture gave the "Lumion" education within the scope of the "Expression Techniques in Computer Environment" course. The training, where Visualization Specialist Batuhan Ilduz from FGA Architecture was a speaker, was held on Tuesday, May 18 at 13:00 via CATS.

"Lumion" training was given by the Department of Architecture within the scope of the "Computer Aided Presentation Skills" course. The training, where FGA Architecture Board Member Fatih Gündoğdu was a speaker, was held on Tuesday, May 18 at 09:00 via CATS.

Within the scope of the "MIMY0411 Urban Transformation: Historical Process, Principles and Practices" course conducted by Prof. Dr. Evrim Töre in the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning Master Program, an e-seminar titled "On Mega Projects in Istanbul and Their Effects" was held on Thursday, April 29th. Istanbul Kültür University Architecture Department organized an e-panel titled "Use of Computer Technologies in Architecture History Education" at 20:00 on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Assist. Prof. Ceren Göğüş was the moderator of the event, in which Assist. Prof. Pelin Yoncacı Arslan, Assist. Prof. Muzaffer Özgüleş and Assist. Prof. Halil İbrahim Alpaslan participated as speakers.
