A seminar titled “What We Learned from the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake: Right Place, Right Building, Right Supervision” was held on Monday, April 10, 2023, in cooperation with the Department of Architecture of Istanbul Kültür University and the Department of Civil Engineering. Having participated in the event as a speaker, one of our Department of Civil Engineering academicians, Assist. Prof. Erdal Coşkun conveyed his findings about faulty construction in the earthquake region, especially in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, to students and academics. In the seminar, the factors to be considered in earthquake resistant construction were also discussed.
